When the Dallas Symphony Orchestra League held its 32nd Presentation Ball on Saturday, February 17, at the Meyerson, no one expected it to be an admirer’s call-to-arms. But as deb Claire Fletcher prepared to make her Texas dip, an ardent fan hollered from the back of the McDermott Hall, “I love you.” He didn’t stop there. Among the whoops and cheers from the audience, he shouted it out a couple of more times as Claire and her Honor Guard escort Paul Cooke exited the Hall.
For the baby boomers in the audience hearing the pleas triggered memories of “The Graduate”’s finale with Dustin Hoffman making a scene to gain Katharine Ross‘ attention without the violence.
Okay, so this one wasn’t as dramatic, but it sure was a memory maker for the 33 beautiful debs and their escorts that included families associated with the Dallas Cowboys, Consolidated Restaurants, AT&T and other corporate heavyweights.
While the post is being finalized, you know the drill — head over to MySweetCharity Photo Gallery for more than 60 photos of debs, escorts, parents and other bolderfacers.
