There’s no doubt that “the stars at night are big and bright,” but geez, for the 2022 Cattle Baron’s Ball, the sun seemed bigger and brighter as it was setting west of Southfork Ranch on Saturday, September 17.
Perhaps Mother Nature was making up bigtime for a couple of previous CBB fundraisers for North Texas cancer research and treatments that turned into holly-golly drenchings nearly a decade ago, with Baronesses scrambling to haul in hay to cover the saturated grounds.
While the 2022 layout was more compact just in case of another Ma Nature temper tantrum, the looks were still tried-and-true with adorable for the gals and million-dollar buckeroos.
But upstaging the fashions and faces, there was one lady of diamonds and sapphires who paddled her way to philanthropic grandeur and the praise of auctioneer Louis Murad. More about that later.
