Recently a gaggle of gals were talking about people who never seem to age. And still another group of folks compared notes on people who have overcome their youthful escapades to be role models for their children. In both cases, the name of Rob Lowe was at the tip-top of the list. True on both counts.

When the actor was the keynoter for the 2012 Celebrating Women Luncheon, he not only had the elite types ogling, but he was amazingly grateful to the attention.
It’s been a long way since his wild-and-crazy days as a brat-pack glamour boy and a legendary 1989 Academy Award performance with Snow White.
Bu as Rob himself admitted, “When I was young and crazy, I was young and crazy. It can be hard enough just to be in your teens and 20s. Then add fame, money, access, and every single person telling you that you’re the greatest person who ever was, and it can be a recipe for disaster. Some people literally don’t survive it.”
With age and his marriage to jewelry designer Sheryl Berkoff in 1991, and having two pretty adorable sons, Rob has turned the page both personally and professionally. In addition to his authoring New York Times bestsellers “Stories I Only Tell My Friends” and “Love Life,” and scene-stealing performances in “”The West Wing,” “Parks and Recreations,” “The Candelabra,” “Austin Powers” and “Tommy Boy,” he has earned accolades for his “reimagining” of “The Bad Seed,” as well as hosting “Mental Samurai” and executive producing/starring in “911 Lonestar.”
He’s even embraced the podcast world with his launching “Literally! With Rob Lowe,” in which he holds conversations with leading figures like Oprah Winfrey, Chris Pratt, Gwyneth Paltrow, Matthew McConaughey, Jennifer Aniston and others. Not a shabby group with whom to chat.
Just this past year he kicked off an additional podcast, “Park and Recollection,” where along with show runner Alan Yang, he provided a look behind the curtain of the TV comedy.
Luckily, 2023 Junior League of Dallas Milestones Luncheon Co-Chairs Elizabeth Gambrell and Heather McNamara have managed to bring Rob back to North Texas for the Junior League mega fundraiser at the Omni Dallas Hotel on Friday, April 14.

According to Heather, “We are excited to have Rob Lowe join us for this year’s Milestones Luncheon and in our new location at the Omni Dallas Hotel. Rob is an iconic actor, producer and author who dedicates significant time to numerous causes and non-profit organizations, especially related to women’s health. Rob has been quoted saying, ‘The great thing about giving back is the more you give, the better you feel.’ We couldn’t agree more and are thrilled to welcome him for what we know will be an engaging and entertaining conversation.”
With sponsorships starting at $1,000, tickets range from $300 to $500 for VIP tickets. Proceeds from the luncheon will “allow the JLD to grant approximately $1 million annually to the Dallas community.”
