To celebrate its 20th anniversary, Baylor Scott And White Dallas Foundation‘s Celebrating Women Luncheon Chair Laura Downing and her gal-pal/Underwriting Chair Cheryl Joyner picked a lively sprite as their keynote speaker —Kristin Chenoweth. While Kristin had not been a victim of breast cancer, she had more than witnessed the fear, frustration and cruelty of the disease in four members of her family.
When her adopted mother underwent treatments for breast cancer, the tiny Tony Award winner dropped her Broadway duties and learned how to change tubes and help her mom through the ordeal. But to help alleviate the situation, Kristin let her “clown” side manage the situation.
