There’s absolutely nothing as invigorating as waking up to a “Change Of Plans” (COP) email. It usually happens after an announcement of an event that seemed so locked down… or so the organizers thoughts. Hey, in this heatwave the very idea of thinking is a challenge.
Even MySweetCharity can be a victim of such developments. Monday morning before the roosters even rousted, WFAA “Daybreak”’s Ron Corning sent a text reporting that station management was forcing him to do some frivolous thing like interview the Dalai Lama on Friday, August 17, at 10 a.m. Yipes! That was the very same time that the 2018 Media Panel was to convene.
To accommodate the best looking (and only) guy on the Media Panel, the team proved their flexibility and rescheduled the start time later in the day to 2 p.m. for registration and 2:30 for the chat.
According to prima photographer/panelist Kristina Bowman, the new time slot was just dandy — “2 p.m. is much more ‘my time’ than anything in the AM.”
Actually it’s pretty much better all the way round. Think about it. Just take a late lunch, mosey on over to the Brain Performance Institute’s very cool surroundings, attend the panel and then head on home or to the recovery zone of your choice.
If you haven’t registered, send in your information (i.e., name, phone #, email address and nonprofit connection) here. And why not bring along your boss, client, etc.
And, yes, the panel is still free and will still consist of Ron, Kristina, Dallas Morning News’ Deborah Fleck, PaperCity’s Christina Geyer and MySweetCharity’s Jeanne Prejean.
