It’s one of those good news, not-so-good news developments. Let’s get the not-so-good news out and over with first. Longtime Methodist Health System Foundation VP of Development Joy Duncan is retiring. She’s way too young to retire, but she wants to do the 3 R’s — rest, remodel and refresh. According to insiders, the 10th Robert S. Folsom Leadership Award honoring Bobby Lyle was her “swan song.”
Now, for the good news. Methodist Health System Foundation President/CEO April Box Chamberlain looked long and hard and found not a replacement for Joy…after all, no one could replace Joy. Rather, April has a new sidekick — Angela Nash — to kick up funding for the Foundation. As VP of Development, Angela “will lead key capital campaigns and will work with top North Texas leaders to further the mission of Methodist Health System.”
According to April, “Angela’s commitment to servant leadership makes her an exceptional fit for Methodist Health System. Her record of results in the Dallas non-profit community is impressive. She will be an integral part of the Foundation’s future as we continue to ensure Methodist has the resources needed to provide world-class, quality care.”
