While fashionistas are swearing that flats and ballet slippers are the day’s rage, the Dallas Symphony Orchestra League‘s 2025 Presentation Ball debutantes proved the experts wrong at the announcement reception on the evening of Thursday, May 16, at “a local country club.”
As Dallas Symphony Orchestra League President Dixey Arterburn and Presentation Ball Co-Chairs Barbara Averitt and Ginger Sanger welcomed family and friends of the 43 debs (sans Lauren de la Vergne, Annabel Everitt, Eliana Garcia, Sophie Goelzer, Elizabeth Goelzer, Ella-Rose Levy, Ivy Mazzuchi, Julia Montgomery, Isabella O’Brien and Grace Schlafer, who were “unable to be with us tonight”), the coterie of young women escorted by Stratton Hibbs, Eric Hirschbrich, Matthew Melcher, John Liptack and Jack Schlafer showed their stuff with mid-to-highest-heels managing the steps leading up to and down from the ballroom’s stage as emcee Stan Gardner announced them.
In addition to the footwear, the ladies’ hem lengths ranged from flirty short to past the knee with some featuring a slit. Why, a couple of the gals had very similar tastes in their blue floral off-the-shoulder dresses with puff sleeves. Was there anything missing? Only split ends.
Stepping up for the night were 2025 DSOL debs Liv Barber, Brooke Barcus, Brooke Barnes, Lauren Brown, Abby Carlisle, Sara Cashion, Sara Cavey, Elle Chavis, Becca Ciarochi, Olivia Coker, Izzy Eggart, Finley Galvin, Alexa Grabow, Camille Gravel, Katherine Hess, Grace Hoverman, Sydney Hoyl, Madeleine Hubach, Kaylie Hudnall, Hannah Jackson, Harper Knight, Lily Lynch, Natalie Newton, Anne Peacock, Ava Perpall, Caroline Petrikas, Ellie Porray, Vivian Potter, Alexandra Sargis, Maddy Sporyl, Mary Stone, Ava Tribolet, Natalie Van Arsdale, Samantha Ward and Annabeth Winn.
In the months ahead, the debs and their parents will have a full slate of get-togethers leading up to the very formal ball at the Meyerson on Saturday, February 15.
Thanks to the ball, funds will be provided for the Dallas Symphony Orchestra’s Education and Outreach programs.
