As the Meyerson Center Lobby filled with hundreds of gals in reds and pinks and posing for photos on Tuesday, February 6, there were still some who had a very personal reason for attending the St. Valentine’s Day Luncheon and Fashion Show to support Leukemia and Lymphoma Society North Texas.
And just who were those who had an investment in the years of research and treatments for the blood cancer disease?
One was a daughter whose mother had just recently been in remission; another were parents whose son was now cancer-free thanks to new developments; two were daughters who had lost their fathers in 1985 and been inspired to create a source of funding to develop research and treatments to battle leukemia and lymphoma; and there was a wife who continued to raise funds to beat multiple myeloma that had taken her husband from their young family.
Their identities will be revealed in the post about the fundraiser on Monday. But in the meantime, check all the Highland Park Village fashions (Alice and Olivia, Frame, La Vie, Lela Rose, LoveShackFancy and Market) on the runway and the faces in the lobby and onstage at MySweetCharity Photo Gallery.
And be prepared. One model stole the entire show from all the rest with a dress-rising surprise.
