It was apparent from the VIP party in the Anatole’s Plum room on Friday, March 1, that The Senior Source‘s 30th Spirit of Generations Luncheon was going to be remarkable.
Only it wasn’t until the Grand Ballroom filled with the honorees’ family and friends and past honorees — Julie and Jim Turner (2003), Sally and Forrest Hoglund (2009), Lydia and Dan Novakov (2011), Carolyn and David Miller (2011), Becky Bright (2011), Kay Bailey Hutchison (2014), Jan and Fred Hegi (2016), Diane and John Scovell (2017), Sandra Estess (2018), Marla and Mike Boone (2019) and Kathy and Larry Helm (2021) — that the draw of 2024 honorees Louise and Guy Griffeth was shown to be truly amazing.
Thanks to Luncheon Chair Amy Hegi and her underwriting team of Libby Hegi, Blake Estess, Kyle Miller and Mike Sweet, whose parents and parents-in-law had been honored in past years, the $1M goal had been made.
And to highlight the occasion, the event playfully reflected Louise’s and Guy’s spirit and dedication to the community. Just for fun a game pitted four teams in taking their stab at questions about the Griffeths. For instance, one question posed to the four teams onstage: “What always tends to happen at Christmas time?” The answer was definitely not most expected.
