Yesterday the 2024 Dallas County children’s non-profit finalists were making their final presentations with hopes of becoming the 2024 Crystal Charity Ball beneficiaries. With committee members listening and asking questions of the presenters, it was obvious that the community has some pretty amazing charities supporting its youngsters.
Still, a decision had to be made on which would benefit from the year-long efforts.
2024 CCB Chair Cheryl Joyner just made it official that there will be seven beneficiaries, including the following:
- Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum – $708,750 for Student Museum Experience Fund (three years)
- HHM Health – $1,099.045 for Mobile Pediatric Clinic
- Methodist Health System Foundation – $1,148,907 for Obstetrics Emergency Department (OB-ED)
- Parkland Health Foundation – $1,000,000 for Crystal Charity Ball Pediatric Health Clinic
- The Center for Integrative Counseling and Psychology – $1,029,051 for Mental Health Education and Counseling Program for Youth in South and West Dallas (three years)
- Traffick911 – $607,912.80 for Freeing Youth from Sex Trafficking through Trust-Based Relationships
- Vogel Alcove – $1,500,000 for Moving Children from Crisis to Thriving Childcare Center at RedBird in South Dallas (two years)
According to Cheryl, “The membership has chosen seven unique beneficiaries in some of the most underserved areas of the city. I am confident these significant financial requests will be appealing to our loyal donors as well as new prospects. I am grateful to Charity Selection Chair Kim Quinn for spearheading this process to help identify our 2024 beneficiaries.”
Translation: The work is cut out for the committee of 100 volunteers to raise $7,093,665 in the months ahead.
Congratulation to the seven beneficiaries.
