Genesis HeROs has set itself a lofty goal for its new Jamfest fundraiser — $250,000!

Scheduled for Friday, October 13, at Irving’s Texas Lottery Plaza at Toyota Music Factory, the event will “feature a fantastic lineup of musical performances.”
Heading the evening’s program will be Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame fav Robert Earl Keen.
According to Event Chair Kevin Lillis, “Being a part of the first Genesis Jamfest is incredibly exciting because it opens up the doors to more people to learn about the work Genesis does. To come together for a night of music while also raising money for a good cause reminds us that we are all in this together and that it takes a group effort to help those who need it most.”
As HeROs President Nate Christensen said, “Domestic violence is not just a women’s issue, it’s a human issue. Genesis HeROs are a group of men who recognize that, step up and do the work to send the message that domestic violence has no place here. October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, so we think it’s important now more than ever for men to join in the work being done to protect and support women and children.”
In reaching its quarter of a million dollar goal, funds will be raised via sponsorship packages, ticket sales, monetary donations and merchandise sales.
What a great way to support Genesis and spend Friday the 13th with Robert Earl Keen.
