According to Agape Clinic’s 40th Anniversary Celebration Co-Chairs Suzy Gekiere and Pam Thompson,
“The Agape Clinic provides quality healthcare services unconditionally to the underserved population of Dallas and surrounding areas. Agape has provided care, without restriction, for 40 consecutive years to 150,000+ patient visits. The Agape Clinic is a 100% privately funded charity healthcare clinic located in Dallas and the surrounding area that provides care for patients without any restrictions or prerequisites.
“We recently had the privilege of serving as co-chairs of a special evening celebrating the Agape Clinic’s 40th anniversary. Thanks for the generosity of dozens of individuals, Agape neighbors, companies and many members of Highland Park United Methodist Church, we were able to raise $100,000+ at a lovely evening at the Dallas Arboretum’s Rosine Hall. With guidance from Agape Clinic ex-officio Board Member Candace Winslow and dedicated Development Director Amy Dunivan, the project was a successful platform for future fundraising efforts.
“So many caring members of the community donated generously and were rewarded with an inspirational speech by Dallas native Ben Malcolmson and shared his story as sports writer, author and external relations director and assistant Seattle Seahawks head coach Peter Carroll. Ben’s book, “Walk On,” tells his unlikely story of football, purpose and his faith.
“Agape Clinic’s statistics are impressive with more than $9 million in quality healthcare provided to the community in 2022; every $1 given is magnified to $9 in medical impacts. Also, in 2022, patients from 262 zip codes and 23 countries were served. More than 500 medical students volunteered at the clinic last year.
“There is ample opportunity help Agape Clinic sustain its role in the health care community and increase the number of families who are served by visiting their website and learning how your donations can make a tremendous difference. Please visit agapeclinic.org.”
