According to Doing The Most Good Luncheon Co-Chairs Lisa Cooley and Lisa Singleton,
“We are thrilled that philanthropist Annette Simmons, and her daughter, Amy Simmons Crafton, are serving as Honorary Chairs for The Salvation Army of North Texas Doing the Most Good luncheon, being held on November 16. The Simmons family have been generous supporters of The Salvation Army for decades and it will be our pleasure to recognize them at The Salvation Army’s largest annual fundraising event.
“We are also fortunate that community leaders Claire and Dwight Emanuelson are spearheading the fundraising efforts as Underwriting Chairs. They, along with a notable committee of Community Advisors and philanthropists, are working diligently to raise the funds critical to The Army’s operations across North Texas.
“Our featured speaker will be James Brown, or JB, the respected sportscaster known as host of The James Brown Show, The NFL Today on CBS Sports and as a Special Correspondent for CBS News. A three-time Emmy Award winner, JB has hosted the Super Bowl a record-breaking ten times. Also an ordained minister since 2009, Mr. Brown will share how his faith and dedication to serving others has shaped his life, career and family.
“Support from attendees and donors to Doing the Most Good Luncheon enables The Salvation Army, the largest social services provider in North Texas, to continue enabling the transformation of the lives of tens of thousands of men, women and children in our community.
“We find it a great honor and responsibility to serve as this year’s event chairs. We hope you will join us in celebrating and supporting the great work of The Salvation Army of North Texas.
