Almost a third of the Crystal Charity Ball former chairmen gathered at Barbara Hunt Crow’s marvelous home overlooking Hackberry Creek on Wednesday, May 17. The occasion was the annual dinner honoring the ladies, known as “The Ma’ams,” who had raised more than $149M for Dallas County children’s non-profits since 1952.
Originally the plan had called for the supper to be an outdoor occasion. And while Mother Nature had provided a flawless day to enjoy the grounds, the days of rain leading up to the evening forced a change. It seems that Barbara was worried that the lush lawn would be too spongy for the seated dinner. But not to worry. Tables were set up in rooms throughout the house for guests to enjoy and the terrace provided a perfect setting for 2023 CCB Chair Angie Kadesky and dinner sponsor Bank of America Private Bank and Merrill Lynch Wealth Management’s Jennifer Chandler to welcome the guests and the annual group photo of The Ma’ams.
