When one celebrates a 30th anniversary, they pull out their prettiest outfits and have a whole passel of friends on hand. That’s exactly what Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary President Jennifer Dix and 2023 Fashion Show Chair Kim Quinn did for the 30th anniversary of the fashionable fundraiser on Tuesday, May 16.
While the early birds at the Meyerson fluttered upstairs to shop the Chic Boutique for sweetheart deals, the day’s speakers like Margot Perot Community Service Awardee Michal Powell and Inaugural Legacy Awardee Jan Strimple along with Margot Perot and Salvation Army North Texas Command Major Dawn McFarland were doing a run-through of the program preceding the fashion show in the McDermott Concert Hall.
In the meantime, the crowd in the lobby grew with such folks as former first lady Laura Bush, Annette Simmons, Vicki Howland, Lee Ann White, Haley Anderson, Louise Griffeth, Peggy Sewell, Gina Betts and Honorary Co-Chairs Lisa and Clay Cooley.
