As Monica Christopher reported Friday, Monday starts the march to success for the 2022 North Texas Giving Day fundraising for North Texas nonprofits. And while some may slap their brows and keyboards at the thought of being hit by email urges for support, others are curious about unknown charities that soldiered on even through the past two years of the pain-in-the-fill-in-the-blank part of your body.
Seriously though, this year’s crop of North Texas Giving Day Boosters is a collection of oh-so-familiar types and some that have been sprouting to the forefront like A Pair Of Socks, Mothers Of Murdered Angels, Valor Ranch, Lighthouse For the Blind, etc.
Some may thrill your credit card; some may be old faithfuls; some might introduce you to a discovery; some might remind you that you haven’t gotten on board during the past year.
Topping the list of submissions surprisingly but sorta not really are animal organizations ranging from Shelter 2 Rescue and Texas Best Choices Animal Rescue to Wildlife On the Move.
Suggestion: Take a look at the call for action posts. You just might discover a non-profit with a remarkable program that is not just surviving, it’s thriving because of just one person’s kindness.
The big day will culminate on Thursday, September 22, with the mind-blowing 18-hour raise-athon aiming to beat last year’s goal of $66M thanks to 103,000 donors benefiting 3,300 local non-profits.
