According to Friends Of Wilkinson members/Carlin Morris‘ daughter Caitlin Hyatt and daughter-in-law Lindsay Morris,
“There’s nothing like back-to-school season: the anticipation of new classes and teachers; the eagerness to see friends again after the long summer break; the brand-new pencils, paper, books, and squeaky-clean sneakers ready to inspire enthusiasm for learning. While the start of a new school year is an exciting time for most families, many parents struggle to provide basic school necessities for their children. Wilkinson Center believes every child deserves the tools they need for a fun and successful school year. You can help make it possible!
“Since 1986, thousands of families have received new shoes and school supplies through the Carlin Morris Back-to-School Drive at Wilkinson Center. Carlin’s zeal and passion over the decades has made this drive an invaluable resource for the community. Over the last 36 years, Wilkinson Center has helped a combined 40,000 children start a new school year with shoes, socks, and the school supplies they need to be successful. As Carlin’s daughter and daughter-in-law, and members of the Friends of Wilkinson Center, we are honored to continue her legacy and support this worthy cause.
“We are asking the community to support this vital program by donating online by Saturday, August 20, at .Your gift will ensure our ability to meet an increased need as prices continue to rise, and families struggle to make ends meet. Together, we can honor the drive Carlin built and support hundreds of children at the start of a new school year. Thank you for your generous and steadfast support!”
