The next few days are going to be loaded with rain for North Texas. The good news? We need the rain. The not-so-good news? Trying to figure that one out, but do we really need a Noah’s Ark type flood?
However, there’s a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. This weekend (aka the end of the 2021 State Fair) is gonna be gangbusters! The temps are going to be in the 70s and sunshine perfect for those selfies in front of Big Old Tex.
But until then life, fundraising and fun continues with backup plans kicking into gear.

For instance, Klyde Warren Park’s 2021 Party In the Park organizers and presenting sponsor Republic National Distributing Company were more than prepared for a Ma Nature temper tantrum.
Park First Lady Sheila Grant reported this past Saturday that the whole kit and caboodle will simply be moved to the Meyerson Symphony Center.

She explained that’s why PiP has been scheduled for a weekday get-together, when the popular “Chuck E. Cheese” of the Dallas Arts District is more available for such a wet development.
Ever-on-top-of-things Klyde Warren Park President Kit Sawers tonight confirmed Sheila’s explanation. Party’s on at the Meyerson.
If you have plans to “party in the park,” the party is still a big go with all the fun, food and faces at the Meyerson. If you didn’t get on board before it was a sold-out affair, there’s always “The Masked Singer” or reruns of “The Big Bang Theory.”
