North Texas is known throughout the world for having the most fashionable folks on the planet. The seeds were planted back in the early 1900s by Herbert Marcus Sr. and his sister Carrie Marcus Neiman. Over the decades those seedlings have grown, resulting in not just renowned retailers planting roots here but North Texas becoming an incubator for tomorrow’s designers.
With all this love of fashion, it only made sense that the Dallas Symphony Orchestra League would create a fundraising project called Fashion Notes to celebrate a designer with a luncheon, fashion show and an award.
2021 Fashion Notes Co-Chairs Kameron Westcott and Samantha Wortley along with Kameron’s mom-in-law/Fashion Notes Honorary Chair Jimmy Westcott and DSOL President Venise Stuart have just announced this year’s Fashion Notes Designer Awardee will be Nardos Imam of Nardos Design.
If you’re into goth or grunge, then you’re definitely new to the Nardos world of elegance, femininity and whimsy. Whether it’s a debutante’s billowing white gown, a Park House member making a head-turning entrance or the fantasy look for special occasions, chances are the label reads Nardos.
For more information about the luncheon on Thursday, October 21, at the Fairmont Dallas, check out here.
