This flashmob isn’t exactly a flashmob, but it was a gathering of rock and roll legends back in 1985. The idea was to get people to know that third world countries were suffering from hunger. That situation not only continues 35 years later, but it’s also hitting home today with a multitude of North Texans finding themselves going without. Many of these people would have never imagined a year ago on Christmas that they would be in such a needy state. Instead of donating to charities, they are waiting in block-long lines for a box of food just to survive.
So, after the gifts are unwrapped, the meals gobbled up and Zoom get-togethers held, consider finding some loose change to support area food pantries.
