Dallas Museum of Art’s Board of Trustees is not letting COVID-19 slow them down. In planning for the DMA’s future, the officers and new trustees were just announced.


The Board’s Nominating Committee Chair Catherine Rose Marcus revealed that the Board’s chair for an additional two-year term will be William M. Lamont Jr., joined by Catherine as president, Victor Almeida as VP and Peggy Sewell as secretary.
According to Catherine, “The Dallas Museum of Art remains an institution of and for the Dallas community. Its purpose to preserve and share the history of humanity through works of art is critical and vital to connect all people, which is even more crucial in these enormously challenging times. The Board of Trustees recognize their crucial role in the stewardship and leadership of the Museum, while in constant and close collaboration with its staff, volunteers, and community voices. Together, we will continue to uphold the Museum’s Mission of being a space of wonder and discovery for all.”






Elaine Agather, who chaired the Committee on Trustees and Governance, reported the 12 new trustees, who will serve three-year terms, are Mary Kay Chief Marketing Officer Sheryl Adkins Green, Kimberly-Clark Corp. VP and Deputy General Counsel A. Shonn Brown, Walter Elcock, Equity Inquiry Project Founder and CEO Arlene Ford, Kirsten Kelli Design Co-Owner Kelli Ford, Ann Hobson, former Texas Instruments Inc. Technology Development VP Venu Menon, Dirk Nowitzki Foundation President Jessica Nowitzki, GP Mobile President Adriana Perales, Daniel Routman, Amanda Shufeldt and JP Morgan Chase and Co. Global Philanthropy VP Michelle Thomas.



Re-elected to three-year terms were Shelly Dee, Thomas Hartland-Mackie, Jun Il Kwun, Gowri Sharma and Nancy Shutt.
Elected as Representative Trustees for one-year terms were DMA League Therese Rourk, Foundation for the Arts’ George T. Lee Jr., The Eugene and Margaret McDermott Art Fund’s Mary McDermott Cook, Art Ball’s Brian Bolke, Two x Two for AIDS and Art’s Cindy Rachofsky, The Forum’s Nicolette Lamont and Junior Associates’ Matthew Ciccone.
Finishing up their tenure as board trustees are J. Patrick Collins, John W. Dayton, Claire Dewar, Rusty Duvall, David J. Haemisegger, Timothy C. Headington, Lee Hobson, Gene Jones, Susan Byrne Montgomery, Toby Purdy and Greg A. Venker.
