According to KidLinks CEO Diana Crawford,

Music can have a profound power on children during the current uncertainty everyone is facing and now, more than ever, KidLinks’ online platform, KidLinks.org, is a voice for the power of music in today’s crazy world and a resource for parents and educators during this time of virtual learning.
For over three decades, KidLinks therapeutic music entertainment has inspired self-esteem, emotion, and provided a healthy distraction for children in the hospital and home environments. Focusing on life skills themes including: Coping Skills, Relaxation, Friendship, Self-esteem, Kindness and Inclusion, we provide messaging, vetted by Child Life professionals, to positively engage children in their current environment and, with our relaxation playlist, even help children wind down after an action-packed day!
Finding ways to positively engage children in their current environment is essential to providing healthy environments for kiddos today. Messages of “Breathe In, Breathe Out,” “Ready Set”, “It’s Alright to Ask for Help” and “We Are One” are helping kids face anything, find comfort in a whirl of chaos and gain the confidence needed to be the “Best They Can Be” as families learn to navigate a new normal in light of the coronavirus and other current events.

Like most organizations, KidLinks has had to pivot from their in-person performances at hospitals and special care centers and maximize our already popular online platform for delivery of content. We’ve been busy recording shows for the hospitals and special care centers we serve and providing weekly digital programming through social media and through our weekly Summer Mini Concert Series where we focus on a different theme for the musical fun each week.
Support is needed to ensure the reach of these essential music resources continue, to available for children as well as their caregivers and to continue our professional music therapy programs for families of children struggling to afford those needed services today.
We invite everyone to learn more about KidLinks’ mission and programs and to donate by visiting https://kidlinks.org/.
