According to Connecting Point of Park Cities Executive Director Cynthia K. Olson,
Connecting Point of Park Cities is an adult day program for men and women with intellectual and developmental disabilities who have aged out of the public school system. Each weekday Teammates (participants) enjoy a curriculum strategically designed to develop social and communication skills, practice vocational and daily living activities and grow in independence in a caring and uplifting environment.
Unfortunately, social isolation is not new for adults with disabilities. Addressing this issue drives the work of Connecting Point of Park Cities (CPPC). A loss of operating income directly impacts the number of Teammates and quality of programing we can deliver.
More than 20 % of Connecting Point’s annual operating budget is raised during the Annual Ability to Give Luncheon. We deeply appreciate the sponsors who continue to support us despite the cancellation of the 2020 luncheon at Brook Hollow Golf Club on Friday, April 24, and the launch of our silent auction in the near future.
Connect with us now, and we will send you an invitation just as soon as our site opens. We know you will enjoy bidding on items ranging from NorthPark Gold with a yearlong valet parking pass, to a kayak excursion to an exclusive staycation at Long Cove!
