2020 Dallas Go Red For Women Luncheon Chair Judy Hendrick has just rolled out the folks, who will be on stage for the American Heart Association Dallas fundraiser on Friday, February 28, at the Omni Dallas Hotel.
Receiving the 220 Sandi Haddock Community Impact Honor will be Tim Wallace and the women of Trinity Industries Inc. and Arcosa Inc. As CEO of Trinity Industries, Tim has spearheaded the companies’ efforts to raise nearly $7.5M for the Association for more than 11 years.
The 2020 Go Red For Women Open Your Heart Survivor honoree will be Meredith O’Neal, who “suffered a life-threatening aortic dissection when she was 37 weeks pregnant in 2018. She underwent two emergency surgeries where physicians at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas save her and her newborn baby, Geoffrey. O’Neal was aware of her genetic condition and knew the importance of listening to her body. Thanks to this awareness, she sought medical attention immediately, which ultimately saved her life.”
Addressing the issues facing women when it comes to heart disease will be keynote speaker Dr. Suzanne Steinbaum, who is the director of Women’s Cardiovascular Prevention, Health and Wellness at Mount Sinai Heart.
According to the AHA, while nearly 80% of cardiac events may be prevented, cardiovascular diseases continue to be a woman’s greatest health threat. One in three women is living with some form of cardiovascular disease and it kills one woman about every 80 seconds.
The luncheon is truly a life-changing event for women, their families and friends. So, get your reservations in and splurge by buying a new red outfit.
