The roll out for 2020 has already gotten underway! The Dallas Museum of Art League (DMAL) has already locked down plans for its 2020 Art In Bloom fundraiser. Gathering the troops at Mary Catherine Huffines’ Highland Park home, DMAL President Dyann Skelton revealed that Therese Rourk would be chairing the annual fundraiser at the Dallas Museum of Art alongside Honorary Chair Amy Warren on Monday, March 2 (aka Texas Independence Day).
Having worked in the media of flowers since 1987, Shane is an old hand at working with the British Royals. Back in 2005 he designed the bouquet for the Duchess of Cornwall [Camilla] when she married the Prince of Wales [Prince Charles].
Following that success, he was “awarded a Royal Warrant of Appointment to HRH The Prince of Wales in 2006.”
His talents continued for another generation of Royals when he was appointed Artistic Director for the wedding of Kate and Will.
According to Therese, “This year we will celebrate all things royal with a special presentation by Shane Connolly, the florist behind the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge [aka Kate and William] in 2011.”
Once again Shane was recognized by the Royals when he was award a second Royal Warrant of Appointment, to HM The Queen in 2015.
In addition to Shane, Dyann reported that “Art in Bloom will present its fourth annual Floral Exhibition created by local designers and inspired by works of art in the DMA’s permanent collection.”
While patron tickets are going for $500 with sponsorships starting at $5,000, individual tickets will go on sale closer to the event… if there are any available.
