The Inaugural Class Of The Dallas Opera Honorary Directors Is Announced

May 13, 2019 9:30 AM by Jeanne Prejean

Since being established in 1957, The Dallas Opera has had its ups and downs. But then hasn’t every organization? But what was been the sustaining factor in TDO weathering the changing times has been the number of people whose support and loyalty have made it endure.

To pay homage to 16 such folks, the Dallas Opera Honorary Directors was recently established.

According to the Kern Wildenthal General Director/CEO Ian Derrer, “The Dallas Opera has been blessed with visionary leaders: men and women whose influence has been felt — not across seasons, but decades. During which, they have exhibited extraordinary longstanding support — and services to — the Company.”
