Trying to squeeze in all the fall fundraising plans before everyone took off for cooler nests, Pilar Henry hosted the Meadows Museum Masterpiece Gala Host Committee Reception for the Meadows Museum Gala — “The Color of Dreams” — on Wednesday, May 16.
Linda P. and William A. Custard Director of the Meadows Museum Mark Roglán reported to the crowd that included Marla and Mike Boone, Lynn and Allan McBee, Nancy Dedman, Mary Anne Cree, Dolores and Larry Barzune, Jenny Mullen, Melinda Knowles, Gail and Gerald Turner and Bethany Conway Holland and Sam Holland that plans are in place and proceeding for “The Color Of Dreams” fundraising event to take place at the Museum on Saturday, October 13, with Pilar as chair and Peggy and Carl Sewell as honorary co-chairs.
Like a general proudly sporting a chest full of medals, Linda Custard proclaimed — “It’s my own hair!” After successfully going through breast cancer treatments and losing her hair, she was proud of the new crop of natural silver hair that had replaced the former “enhanced” dark brown hair.
Linda Perryman Evans looked fresh in beige despite being part of the Salesmanship Club’s Byron Nelson week. As one of the first women to join the Club, Linda had worn the legendary red slacks and white shirt earlier in the day.
Plans call for cocktails on the Museum’s plaza with dance performances by SMU students, a seated dinner in the Museum followed by “an exclusive musical performance,” a dessert buffet, live music by Cuvee and dancing.
Sponsorships are available now for the Meadows fundraiser. Individual tickets won’t be on sale… if they’re available… until September. Don’t you know it’s going to be a sellout… and for good reason.
