Well, leave it to the Dallas Museum of Art to once again sally forth with beautiful people in glorious gowns and overcome anything that Mother Nature throws at ’em. With the old lady of weather woes threatening rain, thunder and all their cousins, 2018 Art Ball Rebecca Fletcher and her troops prepared for the challenge by tenting the outdoor terrace leading to the “Horizon: New. Now. Next.” gala with valets playing Prince Charming just in case a slipper slipped off.
While the Todd Fiscus production was as usual jaw-dropping, and Lady Cassandra‘s feast dashed diets to a memory, it was still the guests that sent folks to chiropractors to get their whiplashed necks back in place.
One couple that became the centerpiece for attention was new Neiman Marcus CEO
and his husband Alvise Orsini, who made their official debut in NM’s hometown, with pal Filippo Tattoni-Marcozzi.While the post is being sliced and diced, check out the faces and fashions at MySweetCharity Photo Gallery.
P.S. — There is absolutely no truth to the rumor that Mother Nature was dumping on 2018 Art Ball because she couldn’t find a date. Horrors, no! She couldn’t find a size 24 couture gown.
