Remember that issue that The Family Place was having with Lululemon? You know the one where the sign in the window led many to question Lululemon’s attitude about The Family Place’s Partners Card program?
Yeah, now you remember.
Well, here are the Sunday updates.
- Lululemon was to take the sign out of the window after the weekend.
- After the sign went viral, Lululemon said that despite not being able to participate in The Partners Card program, they would work with TFP to provide yoga programs for TFP clients.
- The Partners Card Program ended yesterday.
TFP revealed that “In addition to a very generous $10,000 check, Lululemon has committed to work with The Family Place to raise awareness about the warning signs of family violence and educate their staff, guests and community on how to help or get help when needed. We value the opportunity to bring this issue to people who may not be aware of our services. The Family Place staff will also be the beneficiary (of) a Lululemon led wellness education program to help them find ways to de-stress from all the sorrow they hear. I am glad to put this all behind us.”
Yes, the Partners Card program ended yesterday. Yes, the Lululemon staff and The Family Place are working together to rectify the “oops” of the past. An, yes, an “uh-oh situation” has been turned around thanks to two groups working together to correct such a situation.
