Evidently no one has told the Alliance crew that it’s hot and this is the “quiet time” of the year in these parts. The young professionals group of the Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center is holding its Second Annual Alliance Kickoff event on Thursday, August 8, at the Foundry.
The purpose is to “engage the next generation of young advocates in support of the Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center — where healing begins for abused children in Dallas County.”
As if being part of DCAC and partying at The Foundry wasn’t enough, the first 50 attendees will receive a free drink ticket. Whoa! These folks know how to get the evening underway fast.
Chicken Scratch will provided the appetizers and The Royal Beat Downs will provide the entertainment.
Annual memberships cost $125 for singles and $225 for couples. See, it pays to be married! There’s even going to be a $25 discount if you sign up at the party, plus you’ll be entered in a drawing for a pair of Southwest Airlines tickets. The membership entitles you to the following:
- Exclusive tours and education sessions
- Volunteers projects at the DCAC
- Free quarterly special events for individuals and families
- Half-price tickets to DCAC signature events including Appetite for Advocacy, ART for ADVOCACY and Encore for Advocacy.
If you haven’t seen the new DCAC digs, you’ve missed an amazing facility, where miracles occur.
Oh, you want to know when the party starts, so you can get your free drink ticket. The festivities run from 6 to 8 p.m. and you have to RSVP by Friday, August 2.
