The letters are out of the gate for folks to join Turtle Creek Park Conservancy‘s 2024 Day at the Races.
Event Co-Chairs Melissa Sherrill Martin and Ross Martin have unsealed the envelopes for the annual fundraiser at Turtle Creek Park on Saturday, May 4, for the Kentucky Derby mega-watch party.

Joining the Martins will be underwriting Co-Chairs Katie Layton Oster and her husband Allan Oster.
According to Melissa, “Katie’s leadership in Equest and her dedication to raising funds for cancer research as a longtime member of the Cattle Baron’s committee, coupled with Allan’s support and presence in the business community, make them an ideal addition to the team.”
Another veteran fundraiser in the saddle will be Emilynn Wilson as honorary chair.

As Melissa pointed out, “Emilynn, a staunch supporter of beautification, health care and children’s charities for many decades. is the perfect choice. Her work on behalf of the Dallas Arboretum, Crystal Charity Ball, Callier and numerous organizations is unparalleled. We are thrilled she accepted this role.”
Also returning for the fundraiser will be Presenting Sponsor Truist Bank.
In addition to the open bar, live music and checking out the other guests, there will be a lively auction following the fastest two minutes in sports on the huge screen.
For high rollers, there will be a VIP reception with “an array of drinks and pre-dinner treats.”
