While the promise of spring may lie ahead, the bounty of the winter fundraising flourished at Calloway’s Nursery. Thanks to its Holiday Poinsettias program that ran from Thursday, November 16, to Monday, December 25, Calloway’s President/CEO Marce Ward and VP of Marketing Jennifer Hatalski presented a check for $48,000 to Fort Worth’s Lena Pope‘s President/CEO Ashley Elgin and Board President Joni Hoston. That’s a heck of a lot of red blooms!
According to Marce, “Years ago, Calloway’s Nursery had the desire to partner with a local organization that supports the community in a very meaningful way and then concentrate our available resources to that organization to make a real, measurable difference within our community. Numerous community members and their families have been positively affected by the tremendous work of Lena Pope, and thanks to the support of our loyal customers, we’ve been able to donate more than $500,000 over the years.”
Those funds support Lena Pope’s mission to “provide children, families, caregivers and communities with a strong foundation through counseling, education and behavior interventions.”
