Bracing for Monday’s very unfriendly, freezing conditions, the decision has been made by the City of Dallas and H.E.L.P. (Hope Encourage Love Protect) to postpone the Martin Luther King Jr. Day Parade.
Scheduled originally for Monday morning, the Parade now will take place on Saturday, January 20.
The parade’s route will kick off at Fair Park’s Gate 6 at MLK Jr. Boulevard and Robert B. Cullen Boulevard and continue along MLK Jr. Boulevard to Atlanta Street, where it will turn south and then turn east on Pennsylvania Avenue before returning to Fair Park.
It will still start at 9 a.m.
PS – Despite Monday’s being a bit dicey for morning traffic, there is still good news. It’s a school holiday, so parents won’t have to worry about transporting kids to school.
