Anyone who drives home during rush hour along Turtle Creek Boulevard is in for an enlightening experience starting Wednesday, November 29. Starting that night at the stroke of 7 p.m., Turtle Creek Park Conservancy elves will brighten up the spirit of the season with the Light Up Turtle Creek Park event.
But even before the elves flip the switch, there will be a warmup of activities starting at 6 p.m. with free pictures with Santa, food trucks, holiday treats, spirits, music, mistletoe market, entertainment and more thanks to Presenting Sponsor Park Place Dealerships.
No reservations are necessary, and everyone is invited. Just show up and plan on having some fun.
Since parking spaces are limited, some may opt to join via rideshare apps. Or, here’s a thought — why not toddle or bike down from the Katy Trail to join the fun?
The place will continue to be lit up through mid-January.
