Tis a far cry from those toasty days of the summer and early fall. Now, we’re finding all types of ways to warm up as temperatures only top out in the 50s. Perhaps the announcement of The Family Place’s 2024 ReuNight fundraiser on Thursday, May 9, will warm the hearts of North Texans.
Co-chairing the 2024 dinner and glamor-ama live auction will be Kristin and James Hallam and Annie and Erik Miller.
And they’ve already picked up the newest venue for the event — Swiss entrepreneur Gabriel Barbier-Mueller’s Hôtel Swexan in the Harwood District.
It’s described by “Forbes” as “Swiss Meets Texas, embodies many dualities.” Combining the “sleek, clean Swiss influence with the Texas hospitality,” the hotel promises to be a perfect choice for the ReuNight event.
Creating the four-course meal will be Swexan Executive Chef Raymond Bocanegra.
According to Kristin, “We are proud to welcome guests to an evening of purpose and impact at the luxurious Hôtel Swexan, which will provide the perfect backdrop to raise critical funds for The Family Place.”
Funds raised from ReuNight will support The Family Place’s mission to help survivors of domestic violence.
As Annie put it, “It’s a privilege to generate essential funds that will create safe spaces and positive change for victims of domestic violence.”
Sponsorships starting at $5,000 will soon be available online, with individual tickets possibly becoming available in the spring.
