Women’s Council of the Dallas Arboretum President Karen Sargent and 2024 Mad Hatter’s Luncheon Chair Allison Brodnax just announced many details for the 36th annual fundraiser at a private reception tonight.

In addition to having Arboretum supporter Barbara Bigham serve as honorary chair, Allison revealed that the theme would be “Gardens of Greece” at the Arboretum on Thursday, April 18.

The day will, of course, start off with a reception and silent auction from 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.

After taking a year off from runway action, the fashion show will return around noon with Jan Strimple heading up the production and NorthPark Center merchants providing the clothes.

As for those who are of a competitive nature, Allison relieved last-minute glue-gunners by announcing the categories for the infamous hat competition that will get underway during the reception. Emphasizing the Grecian theme, the following categories will provide inspiration:

  • My Big Fat Greek Wedding
  • Olympic Games
  • Greek Mythology
  • Greek Life (Sorority)
  • Greek Goddesses (Group)

Following the program and the announcement of the competition winners, a three-course luncheon will get underway.

Sponsorships starting at $2,500 and patron tickets going for $500 each are now available here!
