Some of North Texas’ biggest heavyweights have met over breakfast at The Mansion on Turtle Creek, The Melrose and Starbucks in Highland Park Village. But all those take a backseat to the biggest morning draw in these parts — the Breakfast with Santa Spectacular benefiting Children’s Health, thanks to a partnership of NorthPark Center and the Women’s Auxiliary to Children’s Medical Center Dallas.
Returning to Santa’s satellite headquarters at NorthPark’s Macy’s Court for his visits with munchkins starting Friday, November 24, he’ll be the centerpiece for the breakfast on Sunday, December 3, at 9:30 a.m., with a multitude of kids, parents and grandparents in attendance.

In addition to Old St. Nick, Breakfast Co-Chairs Lara Pryor and Madison Strode, who co-chaired Community Partners of Dallas’ 2022 Change is Good, have arranged for whimsical characters, face painting, entertainment, a Live Snow Globe and loads of activities and food to fill the morning.
But this year’s event will be a bit different.
Traditionally taking place just hours after the annual Crystal Charity Ball, that won’t be the case this year.
It seems that instead of almost always holding its Dallas County children’s mega-fundraiser on the first Saturday in December, the CCB in 2023 will take place on the second Saturday (aka December 9). With the change of date, that means that instead of bleary-eyed grownups who’ve barely had time to change from black ties and gowns to sweaters and slacks, this year’s attendees will be as bright-eyed and bushy tailed as their little ones.
If you haven’t already locked down your place for this festive gathering of generations, hurry up and sign up here. This one is a true knock-it-out-of-the-park and more fun than a sleigh full of elves.
BTW, Santa has added an extra activity to boost the Children’s funding. In addition to his one-on-one visits, a photography session and a commemorative digital photo for a $25 donation to Children’s HealthSM*, he’ll tell stories about life at the North Pole and sing songs for all on Monday thru Saturday at 10:30 a.m. and noon on Sundays.
But while everyone would love to have Santa plant permanent roots here, he can’t. After all, he must head back to the North Pole on Christmas Eve because he has some deliveries to make.
