The rollout has gotten underway for the area’s 2024 non-profits events. One of the first to announce its leadership plus honorees is Foundation for the Callier Center and Communication Disorders‘ Callier Cares Luncheon scheduled for Monday, April 8, at a local country club.
Chairing the Callier Center for Communication Disorders fundraiser will be Laura Downing, who will be co-chairing next week’s Dallas Symphony Orchestra League Fashion Notes at the Meyerson on Thursday, October 12.

According to Ludwing A. Michael, MD, Executive Director of Callier Center Dr. Angela Shoup, “We are thrilled that Laura Downing, a respected fundraising executive with an excellent track record, is devoting her time to an event that is so important to the Callier family.”
In heading up the luncheon, Laura revealed that Sara and David Martineau will join her as honorary co-chairs.

Being honored at the luncheon will be philanthropist Sarah Losinger, who will receive the Ruth and Ken Altshuler Award.
Receiving the Campbell Callier Prize will be speech-language pathologist Rebecca Landa, who specializes in neuropsychology and autism research.
