While the SMU ponies are recovering from Saturday’s loss to the University of Oklahoma, the Equest Women’s Auxiliary (WAUX) Luncheon and Fashion Show has crossed the finish line ahead of schedule.
WAUX President Katherine Wyker and 2023 WAUX Fashion Show and Luncheon Chair Kimber Hartmann are flying high with blue ribbons that the fundraiser at Brook Hollow on Tuesday, October 3, is sold out.
While the fashion show producer Jan Strimple is having a jolly good time picking out what will be on the runway, thanks to Highland Park Village merchants (Carolina Herrera, Etro, Lela Rose, LoveShackFancy, Market, Simkhai and Veronica Beard), there is still some good news for procrastinators:
- The raffle tickets are still available for purchase.
- There’s the ever-loving, cross-your-fingers wait-list. Insider tip: Send your “ask” to Shannon Graham, who is the underwriting guru.
Funds raised from the event and the raffle go to support the Equest program providing client scholarships, adaptive equipment and care for the therapy horses at Equest.
