By August swimming pools are gonna feel like Texas-sized cooking pots. Even the most serious sunbathing fanatics will let their tans start to fade rather than sizzle in the broiling sunlight. Thanks to DFW Restaurant Week, North Texans can find solace in restaurants chilling with air conditioning and serving up delicious meals to benefit North Texas Food Bank and Lena Pope.
This year’s schedule of fundraising feasting includes the following dates for your consideration:
- Monday, July 10 – Participating restaurants are revealed and reservations open
- Thursday, August 3 to Sunday, August 6 – Preview Weekend

Last year’s yummy eat-athon raised $402,547, bringing the total over the years to $11M for the charity partners.
So, why not give HelloFresh and Blue Apron some time off? In the spirit of giving to area restaurants and NTGD and Lena Pope, make reservations when they open on Monday, July 10. And remember to score your places ASAP, since the best times tend to get gobbled up.
PS —Don’t forget to show your server some appreciation when it comes to the gratuity.
