That’s why the Trinity River Audubon Center’s news is such a home run for any and everybody in North Texas.
Organizers decided to put in place a pilot free admission program for the first six months of 2023. It was such a hit that they’ve extended it for the rest of the year.

What a relief for locals who are running out of sights for out-of-town friends and families to see. Or, what about long-in-the-tooth residents who just want to escape the concrete-and-glass urban world?
And if you don’t know the difference between a Motus Tower and a cellphone tower, not to worry. Trinity Audubon has a variety of programs that are user-friendly for all ages.
But there is a caveat. You just can’t show up unannounced. You’ll need to register here. The reason is to “manage the flow of cars and number of people onsite at regular intervals to ensure the safety of all visitors.”
And don’t forget to slather up with sunscreen and wear sunglasses.
