2023 Cattle Baron’s Ball Co-Chairs Andrea Cheek and Isabell Novakov Higginbotham have been very busy this week. First, there was this past Wednesday’s Trailblazer’s Party that had way more than the expected 200 guests sloshing through the rain to party hearty at Chris Parvin‘s very cool digs.

No sooner had the gals dried off than they had to postpone the 3rd Annual Golf Tournament scheduled for Tuesday, May 16, at Maridoe Golf Club “due to weather conditions, including thunderstorms, that could impact tournament play on the pristine grounds at the private golf club located in Carrollton.”
And then there was the fact that Isabell and husband Trey Higginbotham were in countdown mode for the delivery of her soon-to-be son due next week.
In their spare time, Andrea and Isabell were working with the CBB executive committee to select the co-chairs for the 2024 CBB.

That announcement was just revealed! It will be CBB veterans Lora Farris and Marjon Henderson, “who have extensive event experience, record-breaking fundraising success and are skilled at leading large groups of women.”
According to the official word about the newly tapped duo, Lora has “chaired every major committee for CBB and sometimes twice! Her CBB experience includes Silent Auction Co-Chair x 2 (2017 and 2019), Underwriting Co-Chair x 2 (2020 and 2021), Live Auction Co-Chair (2018), Raffle Co-Chair (2022) and Golf Co-Chair (2023). Professionally, Lora works with high profile clients and plans charity events.
“Marjon has been a member of CBB for a decade and has chaired many CBB functions including Silent Auction and Live Auction 3 times!
“Professionally, Marjon’s experience as Head of Brand Experience and Special Events for Neiman Marcus gives her the skills and relationships within the community and nationally to help guide Cattle Barons into the next 50 years.
“Outside of CBB, Marjon has most recently chaired the successful Bradfield Elementary School Auction and Family Place Trailblazers along with countless other committees for Dallas organizations.”
Congrats to the 50th CBB Iconic Co-Chairs Andrea and Isabell for juggling this week of topsy-turvy management and to the 2024 CBB leadership team. It will be interesting to see how Lora and Marjon celebrate CBB’s 50th anniversary year of fundraising for cancer research and development in North Texas.
