According to Pop Fizz Clink Co-Chair Melissa Cameron,
“This holiday season, my wish is that more Dallas-area women gain financial security and the opportunity to lift their families out of poverty to a place of success and sustainability by joining Wings.
“I’ve had the privilege of being involved with Wings Dallas over the years, and I appreciate the passion, commitment and thoughtful approach the organization takes to empower women, fight poverty and impact generations, creating sustainable and lasting impact on families.
“For many, the joys of the holiday season wane when facing inflation and financial insecurity on a broad level. The women Wings serve have an amazing resource to tackle these issues head on with the Economic Advancement Program (EAP). Wings’ EAP focuses on building financial resiliency through personal financial capabilities and advancing income opportunities. With classes plus one-on-one coaches and mentors, Wings walks alongside each woman providing tools and guidance that help them take ownership over their own path to success, impacting generations to come.
“As co-chair of our annual fundraiser Pop Fizz Clink – A Wings Fiesta! alongside Jane Rozelle Humphrey and Vodi Cook Meagher, I invite you to mark your calendars for our festive and inspiring event on Friday, May 5. Proceeds from the annual event will be used to power the services to support women in the midst of change – including first-time pregnancies, economic and financial crises, or starting a new chapter. Along with an array of exciting entertainment, fiesta-inspired drinks and delicious brunch bites, guests will hear stories from the inspirational women of Wings. I’m confident the generous North Texas community will leave the event empowered and inspired by the work of this uplifting organization.
“Tickets are on sale starting at $250 and there are several sponsorship levels available. More information about sponsor levels and tickets can be found at Wingsdallas.org/events/pop-fizz-clink/.
“Changing one woman’s trajectory impacts not just that woman, but also her family, her family’s future and her greater community. With your help, together, we can impact generations to come.”
