One of the true treasures that every non-profit relies on is its team of hardworking volunteers. Doing everything from raising funds and rolling up their sleeves to provide extra hands in schlepping for the charity to providing services, they do it fueled by their commitment to make a difference for the good of the organization.
And for 60 years the Women’s Auxiliary to Children’s Medical Center Dallas has been supporting Children’s Health’s staff members, patients and their families thanks to its chapters in Dallas and Plano.
Just this past year alone, Dallas Auxiliary President Lisa Rocchio and President-Elect Courtney Gilbert and Plano Auxiliary President Allison Doyle and President-Elect Donna Ivy powered up to present Children’s Medical Center Foundation President Brent Christopher with a check for more than $1.3M.
In addition to that, Auxiliary chapters “donated over 1,000 toys, books and amenity items for patients and families, coordinated staff appreciation deliveries for the hardworking employees and care teams and served as faithful Children’s Health ambassadors across the community.”
In the past 60 years, the Auxiliaries have provided more than $24M and thousands of volunteer hours to make Children’s a comforting institution for healing.
