While cars were backed up clogging roads leading to American Airlines Center for last night’s Mavericks’ (hopefully) comeback game against the Golden State Warriors, there was another crowd of 150 at the Dallas Zoo for the 2022 Zoo To Do kick-off party.
As the young lions lounged in their habitat and the elephants trunked up on hay in the background, 2022 Zoo To Do Co-Chairs Marena and Roger Gault were announcing plans for the annual Zoo fundraiser.
The twosome had already warned everyone that their words would be brief, to allow folks like Diane and Hal Brierley to scoot to the arena and/or to their homes for the basketball game.
In line with their suggestion, here are the brief highlights of what’s to come on Saturday, November 5, at the Dallas Zoo: VIP Chair will be Sherwood Wagner, joined by Honorary Co-Chairs Kim and Greg Hext.
As for the theme, it’s going to be Wild And Wonderful. Needless to say, with Chef Wrangler Brett Kraft, Honorary Chef Dan Landsberg and “Wine Guys” Greg Hext, Preston Hext, Matthews Meadows and Michael Meadows, it’s gonna be a grand night of supping and sipping to raise funds for the Dallas Zoo.
Stay tuned for details on the auction and raffle items, the night’s chefs and other tidbits. In the meantime, sponsorships and tickets are available here.
