Despite only being open for a few weeks, Camilla Boutique Manager Corie Phillips was ready to host the KidneyTexas Inc. patron party at NorthPark Center on the evening of Tuesday, September 14.
The salon just two or three doors down from Nordstrom already had gals like KidneyTexas Inc. President Rose Gault, 2021 Runway Report Honorary Co-Chair Natalie Taylor and Giana DePaul checking out clothes just 15 minutes into the gathering, with DJ Rob making beautiful music. It didn’t take long before the dressing rooms were put to use.
While the bohemian caftans, swimwear, ruffled dresses and accessories may have had some mistakenly thinking that the fashions were strictly for summer lolling around yachts in the Mediterranean or on the sands of Naples, Corie said to expect warmer fabrics and looks for the chilly weather up ahead.
As KidneyTexas Inc.’s Runway Report Chair Courtney Nall prepared to switch from her day wear into a Camilla experience, Marena Gault, who had shed 45 pounds over the past months, gave an example of the Camillas fitting in anywhere when she wore one of creations recently to the Santa Fe Opera.
BTW, funds raised from the Runway Report at the Meyerson on Tuesday, September 21, will support KidneyTexas’ mission to “provide funding to improve the methods of treatment, the search for a cure and prevention of kidney disease and other kindred or contributory diseases; and to develop more adequate provision for the care of persons suffering from such diseases.”
