It seemed so appropriate that the 2021 Partners Card Co-Chairs Rachel Osburn, Caroline Snell Wagner and Jane Wallingford held their Seller Soirée to celebrate the sponsors, sellers, retailers and friends of The Family Place‘s fundraiser in America’s first shopping center — Highland Park Village — on Tuesday, September 14. And the celebration wasn’t confined to eyeballing the dress-up casual fashions inside the Frame salon. Nope, it extended to the sidewalk with The Bubble Tap Trailer curbside providing champagne. Here’s a report from the field:
Dallas-based family violence agency, The Family Place, is gearing up for another exciting year of Partners Card with their annual Seller Soirée. This year’s event took place at Frame in Highland Park Village on Tuesday, September 14. The evening kicked off the card selling season and recognized the 2021 card sellers and sponsors that make it possible to continue the premier fundraiser each year.
Inside the trendy store, Partners Card Co-Chairs Rachel Osburn, Caroline Snell Wagner and Jane Wallingford, along with Honorary Chair Debbie Snell, mingled with the nearly 60 guests in attendance. Guests shopped the stylish duds and signature denim the retailer has to offer while sipping seasonal cocktails and enjoying bites provided by Bistro 31 and custom cookies by Crush Sweets. The Family Place’s newly appointed CEO Mimi Crume Sterling and current CEO Paige Flink were also in the crowd socializing with attendees.
Outside the store in the gorgeous Texas fall weather, guests enjoyed champagne sips provided by The Bubble Tap Dallas Trailer, a fizzy and effervescent mobile bubbly bar.
The chairs, along with Vice President of Development at The Family Place Melissa Sherrill, each said a few words about what Partners Card means to them and hopes for a record fundraising shopping event this year.
“This year has been especially tough for all non-profits, including The Family Place,” shared Melissa. “On top of COVID-19, Winter Storm Uri shut down services at our safe campus and displaced our clients for quite some time, resulting in strain on both our staff and budget. Because of this, we sincerely appreciate everyone being here to support Partners Card, our largest fundraising event of the year.”
Jane enthusiastically shared, “Not only does Partners Card represent fantastic shopping opportunities, but these Partners Cards are so valuable to The Family Place. A $75 card is a donation that provides one night of safety at their emergency shelters.”
