The VNA’s fiscal year started last week on Thursday, July 1. To kick off its new year, the organization’s board has added four new members including former Grand Bank of Texas CEO Michael Casey, Lincoln Property Company VP Matt Craft, Argonaut Private Equity LLC President Kelby Hager and Cornerstone Baptist Church South Dallas/Fair Park Pastor Chris Simmons.
They will join the current board made up of Bob Best, Cathy Bryan, Michelle Chase, Julie D. Clark, Catherine A. Corrigan, Levi H. Davis, Daniel DeMarco, Effie Dennison, Betsy Eiseman, Kathleen Gibson, Benjamin Isgur, Zakiyah A. Johnson, Kirsten Kerrigan, Bob Krakow, Alison Draper Lolley, Louise Marsh, Pressley H. Peters, Carolyn Rathjen, Kersten Rettig, Camisha L. Simmons, Denice Swift, Alok Vaish, Andres Villareal, Jim Walton, Paula Wills and CiCi Weinmann.
The current board leadership includes Chair Mary Frances Bellman, Chair-Elect Eugenia King, Treasurer Kevin Eden and Secretary Jordan Brainerd.

Michael Casey
Michael Casey is former Chief Executive Officer Grand Bank of Texas and has served on the board of Texas Bankers Association, Independent Bankers Association of Texas, the Charitable Foundation North America, American Bank of Texas, Harold’s Stores, Inc., and FBI Citizens Academy. He has served as area chairman for BancorpSouth, as Officer at Lone Star Park, and on the Board of St. Michael Episcopal School. He is a Trustee for The Kessler School and a member of the Methodist Hospital of Dallas Advisory Board.
Michael now serves as Treasurer of the Board for Texans Can Academies, a statewide nonprofit serving approximately 5,000 underprivileged youth, and was awarded the Dallas Business Journal Outstanding Director Award for his work with Texan Can Academies.
In addition to his wide-ranging board service Michael remains an active member of his church, St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church in Dallas, a member of multiple alumni associations of the University of Texas at Austin, where he earned a BBA.
Matt Craft
Matt is an Executive Vice President at Lincoln Property Company and is responsible for sourcing and executing corporate and institutional office real estate transaction services and development in the Southwest United States. Prior to joining Lincoln Property Company, Matt was a Managing Director at Jones Lang LaSalle, and prior to that he was a Principal at Trammell Crow Company.
Matt is currently involved in several civic and charitable organizations, including Board of Governors, Downtown Dallas, Inc.; Church Council, Highland Park United Methodist Church; member, Salesmanship Club of Dallas; and member, The Touchdown Club. Matt has also served on the board of directors of Momentous Institute, West End Association, Central Dallas Association, Downtown Improvement District, Park Cities YMCA, and the McKinney Avenue Transit Authority.
Matt has a BBA from Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University. Matt and his wife Jennifer have two sons.
Kelby Hagar
Kelby is an attorney and certified public accountant with extensive experience owning, operating, and overseeing businesses. He is currently the President of Argonaut Private Equity, LLC, a Tulsa-based middle market private equity firm with over $1 billion under management. Prior to Argonaut, Kelby founded, operated, and sold businesses in the video surveillance industry (Digital Witness and Westec Intelligent Surveillance, both sold to Interface Security Systems in 2012), the on-line grocery industry (GroceryWorks, sold to Safeway in 2001), and the K-12 cloud records management industry (YellowFolder, currently owned). He received a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree in 1995 from Harvard Law School and received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1992 from Angelo State University and is a member of the Texas State Bar and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Chris L. Simmons
Pastor Simmons has served the Cornerstone Baptist Church South Dallas/Fair Park, Dallas, TX since May 1988. He was called to serve as pastor in September 1989. Cornerstone provides several free programs to the residents in the community including after school programs, summer day camps, medical clinic, dental clinic, community garden, transitional housing programs, meals for those in need, clothing closet and the Christmas store to name a few.
