Despite it being April Fool’s Day, Marybeth Conlon and Elizabeth Gambrell aren’t fooling around today. Besides having law degrees, cute husbands and adorable kids, they’re co-chairing the 2021 Celebrating Women’s Luncheon to battle breast cancer.
Joining Marybeth and Elizabeth in the effort to create awareness and funding for breast cancer research and treatment is a knock-out crew with the Jones girls (Gene Jones, Charlotte Jones, Karen Jones and Lori Jones) serving as honorary co-chairs and blonde sisters-in-law Amy Hegi and Libby Hegi on board as underwriting co-chairs.
They’ve already got a date and a place for the Baylor Medical Center – Dallas Foundation fundraiser for Baylor Scott and White Health’s breast cancer program. Plans call for the event to take place on Wednesday, October 27, at the Hilton Anatole. But there is a caveat: “The safety of our guests remains our top priority and we will continue to monitor the COVID-19 pandemic alongside Baylor Scott and White Health Leadership.”
In the past 21 years of “celebrating women,” significant advancements have been made in the battle against breast cancer, thanks to more than $36M being raised from dedicated committee members and community supporters.
For now Marybeth and Elizabeth are staying tight-lipped about the speaker, so stay tuned.
