According to Communities In School Dallas Region Board Member G. Brint Ryan,
“Join me in spreading joy and fulfilling needs this holiday season by ‘adopting’ a Dallas-area student.
“Communities In Schools of the Dallas Region (CISDR) provides academic assistance, basic needs, and mental health support to students on high-need public school campuses across five counties in North Texas. These students benefit from a support system consisting of their families, educators, CISDR Site Coordinators, and community members. This year, at a time when resources are especially tight for many people, the needs and wants of thousands of children could go unfulfilled. The goal of CISDR’s 2020 Adopt-a-Student program is to ensure that none of the students we serve are forgotten this holiday season.
“For just $25 per child, you can make the season bright for a student in our community. The Adopt-a-Student program will provide crucial needs such as coats, shoes, clothing, and food, along with special gifts for students over the holidays.
“CISDR Site Coordinators speak with these students daily and are keenly aware of both their needs and wants, so to minimize contact during the pandemic, our Site Coordinators will purchase an appropriate gift for a student on your behalf for every $25 you donate.
“Every child deserves to be warm, fed, and happy during the holidays. You can help make that happen for CISDR students. Adopt a student today and together, we can brighten the season for a lot of Dallas students and their families.
“To participate in CISDR’s 2020 Adopt-a-Student program:
